  |     |   Neighborhood

The glowing lights and festive cheer in Seattle make this holiday season feel so merry and bright! Have you been able to take advantage of the Christmas festivities in the Emerald City this year? In case you aren’t sure where to start, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite ways to spend the holidays here — from Santa-themed drinks to classic traditions and Christmas activities.

When you live at Alley 24, you have easy access to this winter wonderland thanks to a prime South Lake Union location.

If you’re a sucker for a holiday pop-up, you’re in luck because there are a few bars that go ALL out for the Christmas season. Located inside the classic cocktail bar, Rob Roy, is Miracle on Second. Poured inside themed mugs you can take home with you, their cocktails — like Christmapolitan and Jolly Koala — will send you straight into a holidaze! Sippin’ Santa is another great option, which you can find inside Navy Strength. If you’re struggling with the gloomy weather this holiday season, their tiki drinks will cheer you right up!

When you’re ready to head out of the bars and into the streets, there are so many magical stops you can make in downtown Seattle. The big towering Christmas tree and amazing Christmas lights at Pioneer Square make it the perfect central hub to get into the spirit. Check their event lineup here to catch some ongoing holiday markets featuring local makers!

Do you have last-minute Christmas gifts to get for friends and family? Right in the Seattle center, Pike Place Market has you covered with unique food baskets and more! You can also admire their beautiful Christmas tree and holiday lights. Speaking of food, don’t miss out on afternoon tea at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel! This classy affair is a traditional staple here in the Emerald City.

Lastly, if you’re looking to head out of the city, there is NO better place to celebrate Christmas in the Pacific Northwest than Leavenworth. Just two and a half hours outside Seattle, this enchanting Christmas village has it all between mountains, snow and plenty of Christmas cheer. You may even get to hear some Christmas carols!

From all of us at Alley 24, happy holidays to you and yours! We hope you have a wonderful time celebrating and that you enjoyed this guide to Christmas!
